Soooo cute!

Aren't these the cutest clothes ever? We were with my family at my parents cabin and my sister Karlie and her boyfriend Paul brought these onesies from NYC where they live! I can't wait for the baby to put these on!

Iowa/Iowa State Game!

Pictures of Addison and I in Iowa City for our first tailgate of the season. The first picture is Addison trying to get a picture of the belly and of course me not paying attention!

What color to choose...

It wasn't to hard for me to pick out a nursery color....even though we do not know what the sex of the baby is yet, I knew I didn't want pink or blue to be the color of the walls. I wanted something a little more exciting & different. One of my favorite colors is green, and I have been reading a lot of baby websites that say when putting together a nursery also make the room for you as well. We will be in there prob as much as the baby is in the first weeks so I am taking them up on their idea.
My first instinct was to do lime green walls to really have the room stick out, but I thought that might be a little much for a nursery, so I calmed the green down a little bit. We have a couple Benjamin Moore color wheels (from our next door neighbor who works at a paint shop), so I started browsing through them and found the color I wanted almost immediately.
I talked to Addison, but he didn't really seem to care what color we chose as long as I liked it. Easy enough! The color is called apples and pears. It might be hard to tell through this picture, but it is a softer lime green color. I think it will be just perfect for the lil one and me too!!

Steal of a deal!

Lately I have been a craigslist-aholic. I love it! I have been trying to scope our a white dresser for the nursery instead of spending $400-$500 on one. We decided to go with all white furniture for the nursery.
So I was stalking craigslist for one the last couple of weeks with no luck. Last Monday, I thought I would look on again JUST to see if there was anything new...I came across those beautiful words "3 drawer white dresser". I thought it would be too good to be true, so I clicked on it to see how horrible this dresser was going to look. When I saw the picture to my surprise it looks EXACTLY what I was looking for. I quickly emailed the seller to see if I could come and look at it. The next day, I went over to the seller's house to take a look.
The dresser was perfect, no scratches, looked new - so I handed the seller $40 (awesome price!!!) and hauled that dresser away to its new home. Take a look!!

17 weeks!

17 weeks! The time has just flown on by! I am almost half way there! Right before my 16th week check up, I felt a little flutter in my stomach. At first I thought I was hungry or something, but it happened again! I finally realized that I felt the baby "kick" for the first time. It was awesome! During my 17th week - the baby has been moving more often, especially when I am sitting down for some reason. Addison can't feel it yet for prob 3-4 more weeks at the least, but it is nice to know that the lil boy/girl is active! :)
These last couple of weeks I have been very hungry ALL the time! Addison thought in the first trimester that I didn't eat anything and I was starving the baby...now he thinks I am eating to much! Luckily as of right now I haven't gained that much weight...only about two lbs so far. So I guess I will keep on eating away :)

16 weeks!

This is our 16 week baby bump pic. This picture was taken September 10th. I think from 15 to 16 weeks has been the biggest change and growth that I can see (and of course feel). I started wearing maternity pants starting wk 17. I should have started sooner, but I thought I could squeeze into my pants one last wk. When I had lines on my stomach from my pants being to tight, I knew it was time for a change. I don't know what I was waiting for - maternity pants are awesome! One word says it all - elastic!

Before nursery pictures!

We will be converting out office into a nursery soon! I will be documenting the process, so I thought I would take some before pictures.
Our office always seems to be the catch all for everything we do not know what to do with, so that will change once the nursery is in place! I have already picked out a paint color...stay tuned!
