With all of this construction going on Zoe doesn't get her beauty sleep during the day now so she gets her sleep at night! Here's an example of tonight!

Living Room Updates!

The workers today are also working on the living room plaster walls and the ceiling. Here are a couple pictures of the ceiling and the workers. They are working hard to help us get this done!

New Side Door!

We have a side door that you can either go to our kitchen or go downstairs to the basement and the door got damaged so it had to be replaced. The new door is a steel door which really updates the look since our old door was wood. Here are the pics of the new door. They aren't fully done yet, the still need to do the trim around it on the inside and outside!

Smooth Walls!!

Well the drywall/plaster/ceiling workers started today! One step closer! Here are some pictures of the basement walls - they have a coating on them to make the walls smooth. It looks like cement that they smeared on and it just might be. I'm not sure :)

More Lights!

Since we were putting new lights downstairs we thought we would update some other lights around the house while we were doing it! Addison's dad Ron (pictured left)came over and helped us put the lights up! In the picture he is in is at the top of the stairs that go down to the basement. We also replaced the light at the bottom of the stairs. We also put new outside lights on the front of the house and on the side as well. They look great!

New Lights!

Here are the pictures of the new recessed can lights over the main area in the basement, the bar area, and the buffet area. I will post pictures of the lights when the ceiling and trim get put up! It will give a lot more light down there!

Laundry Room

They patched up the foundation in the laundry area, since the crack went all of the way into the laundry room. Here is a pic!

Lights, Camera, Action!

Well since the ceiling was torn down, Addison and I thought it would be a good idea to update our lighting down stairs! So we are putting in some recessed can lights in the main room, over the bar and over the buffet area. Here are the BEFORE pics of the lights we have up right now. The updated light pictures will be posted tonight!

Empty!

They moved out the rest of your furniture so they could tear down the rest of the ceiling. It looks so bare!!

Foundation Completed!

Sorry I didn't post these sooner! They finished the foundation last Friday and it looks great! At least no rodents can get it now :) ha ha....Here are the pics!

Foundation!

Tonight when I came home from work the hole was starting to shrink (thank god)! They didn't get all of the way done tonight, but they will finish up tomorrow morning! One step closer! Here are the new pics of the foundation and a pic of the new window too!

Carpet Samples!

Well its now time to pick out the new carpet from these samples! It is really hard to tell from a little swatch what is going to look good in the entire room! I need help!

Holy Hole!

So I came home during my lunch hour today and this is the hole I found!!!! Crazy! I could have crawled through it to get into my basement! The foundation workers tore out the cracked foundation. It was a HUGE hole...here are the pics!!

No Work Monday!

Of course - more delays! They were suppose to start our foundation work today and now that will be postponed until Wednesday. They did come over today and boxed up most of our basement items, so they can tear out the rest of our basement ceiling! Here are the latest pics from today!
